1) Do not discard large, hard foods into the garbage disposal. It is not equiped to handle these items including ice. These actiions can dullen the blades and shorten the life of your disposal.
2) Close the lid to the toilet when not in use to avoid falling objects and accidental flushing. Most items can't pass through the angles of the toilet resulting in buying a new toilet.

6) Tree roots are the most common problem for main line drains and can be the most expensive to fix. Be sure to plant trees away from pipes. You can contact your local water utility company for the exact location of all underground sewer pipes.
